Welcome to MVM CEEnergy Zrt's website!
I am proud of the business results our company has achieved so far, especially that MVM CEEnergy trades over 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually. Our company is also the primary partner of the Hungarian universal gas service provider, ensuring a reliable gas supply for household consumers and small and medium-sized enterprises.
As part of our commercial activities, MVM CEEnergy performs the trading of
approximately 15 billion cubic metres of natural gas on the relevant gas
exchanges each year. Our traders carry out around 50,000 transactions on the
ICE (Netherlands), THE (Germany), PSV (Italy), AVTP (Austria) and CEEGEX
(Hungary) markets.
To maintain a long-term security of gas supply for Hungary, we have
long-term gas supply contracts from a variety of sources. Our partners can
benefit from a large and balanced gas supply portfolio. Apart from existing
long-term contracts, LNG and Upstream (natural gas production) areas also
represent an important part of our portfolio.
Our company is actively building up its LNG business, with the aim of
establishing presence in the global LNG market, thus further diversifying our
sources of supply. As of 1 January 2021, MVM CEEnergy has booked capacities at
the Krk LNG regasification terminal for a period of almost seven years. In
April 2022, the terminal launched its so-called ship-to-truck service. MVM CEEnergy's
Croatian subsidiary was the first to conclude a contract for selling LNG in
this way and has since become the largest user of this service.
Recent years' energy market changes have highlighted the need to reduce
import dependence. In order to guarantee Hungary's energy security and to boost
domestic gas production, our Company has entered the upstream business,
launching the Corvinus project in 2021 and the Berettyó project in 2023. Alongside developing ongoing projects, the
Company will continue to explore domestic and regional, conventional and
unconventional gas production possibilities, aligning with the objectives set
out in the National Energy Strategy of 2020.
In line with the MVM Group's regional strategic goals, we have subsidiaries
in Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Serbia and are actively
pursuing opportunities for further business development.
To benefit from regional growth and energy market synergies, the MVM Group
will establish a unified trading company based on MVM CEEnergy and MVM Partner.
The new consolidated company will unify the wholesale activities and be
exclusively responsible for the group's wholesale sales.
Our website offers detailed
information about our activities, latest news, and updates about the Company.
